Established in April 2012, Spatial Collective Limited is a Nairobi-based geospatial innovation and technology consulting company. Our mission is to support communities and organizations in leveraging available technologies to collect essential data that holds significance to them.
Working in challenging environments with limited existing data, we tackle global issues, including livelihoods and economic prosperity, environmental preservation and management, governance initiatives (both formal and informal), safety and security, and property rights.
Over the past ten years, we have successfully completed over a hundred impactful projects. We have trained hundreds of individuals in Kenya alone, equipping them with skills in mapping, data management, and GIS. Our reach extends across Eastern, Western, and Southern Africa, where we have mapped numerous communities. We have also provided vital assistance to various national and international organizations through comprehensive data collection, research, and management. In line with our commitment to inclusivity, our team comprises data collectors, trainers, and staff members who come from the very communities we serve, ensuring local perspectives are valued and respected.
Our extensive network of partners and clients includes renowned institutions such as the World Bank, United Nations, Government of Kenya, Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Municipality of Mwanza, Banadir Regional Administration in Mogadishu, Omidyar Network Services, Rockefeller Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Place, Cadasta Foundation, Cities Alliance, Clark University, Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, OpenMap Development Tanzania, Danish Demining Group, DAI Global, and Kenya Red Cross.
Together, we are driving positive change and shaping a more informed, sustainable future through geospatial innovation.
